printableshow we celebrated halloween at home November 4, 2020 Witch Potion Making Table I gathered small bottles from around the house that were empty like vanilla extract, essential oils and I found some at Target’s Bullseye section that were meant for Christmas. I saved the Christmas themed glitter and used Halloween inspired glitter, and water that was dyed green and pink. I bought the labels on Etsy and just changed the colors and wa-laaaa! The broom was a diy, I used a bamboo stake that my plant outgrew and cut up different colored felt and ribbon and just hot glued it around the bottom and that was all.(:TIP: Try using whatever you have at home and get creativeeeee! this was the entrance to the ‘spooky maze’ as we like to call it. we used our nuggets to make this but you can get creative and use blankets to make a fort or your couch pillows and cushions, if you have a teepee, use that or whatever else you may have. the sign was super simple. I just used a piece from a broken ikea picture frame but you can use a stick from outside or any plank that you may have. for the actual sign I used these wooden rectangles that I bought from dollar tree and just cut out and glued this free printable onto it and that’s all. I also embellished it but here is where you can get creative with it. our dinkum doll is just wearing ladybug ears which we also found at the dollar tree! check out your nearest one if you can, you will find so many things there! I sewed some felt to create this little bag for our doll and glued a ghost on the front and the word ‘boo!’ on the back. we have some pretend candy which is what’s inside the bag but you can also print out the pretend candy. a little fun project if you have some time. my daughter loved this and walks around with her and says “trick or treat”, so cute! lastly, I repurposed our diy ghost garland that was super easy to make just takes up a bit of time but turns out sooo cute. I just cut up some white felt in the shape of a ghost and then two circles for the eyes (you can add another circle for the mouth). then I glued them onto a piece of yarn and that’s all. you can do this for sooo many themes which I will be doing for future holidays/seasonsthe vase and dried grass was thrifted for about $6! I will be painting the vase soon and will share about the process. free printable used for the sign, cauldron and candy: https://sprinkleofwhimsy.co/collections/prints/products/halloween-busy-kit this was super simple, I found a free printable on Pinterest for the cupcake toppers, then I just cut and hot glued them onto wooden sticks and put them on cupcakes. you can bake your own cupcakes but to save on time we bought them pre-made. the candy eyeballs are from target and you can find these in the baking aisle. the bat wings are just Oreos cut in half. I do recommend placing the eyes right next to each other like the ones on the right rather than farther away as you can see on the left. looks a lot better hahafree printable: childhoodmae.com this is a lazy Susan made from bamboo that will go in our medicine cabinet but for halloween we just put some sweets. we already had the oreo cookies and just put the eye balls on some of the sweets with a couple white pumpkins on the side.&&Hope everyone had a fun Halloween this year!
